Who are RBMA members?
The RBMA members are individuals whose primary business is of radiology including but not limited to, business managers, operations managers, marketing directors, vendors, and billing service providers.
Why should I join RBMA?
The RBMA has been providing information, networking opportunities, and education to radiology professionals since 1968. You can't afford to let these important professional opportunities pass you by. The RBMA is an invaluable resource to you as a radiology manager. RBMA offers products, services and networking opportunities for operating a radiology business. When you have questions about your business, RBMA has the answers or knows the resources.
How do I determine which membership is for me, individual or corporate?
Individual active membership is granted to an individual whose primary business involves radiology. Individual active members are listed in the online Member Directory and may participate in benefits outlined here.
Corporate memberships are available to vendors of equipment, services, or supplies that may be used to improve or support the business of radiology. One corporate membership covers two company representatives. Corporate members are companies and are listed in the online Corporate Partner Directory by names and product or service. Corporate members receive a discount for booth space when exhibiting in the annual meeting exhibit halls.
How do I join RBMA?
Join online by creating an account and completing your profile. Membership are based on the calendar year and may be pro-rated depending the time of year that membership is initiated.
When do I renew and how?
All memberships are renewed January of each year. You will receive notification approximately 60 days before your membership expires. You may renew your membership online quickly and easily. A dues renewal form will also be mailed to you via US Postal Service to complete and fax to the RBMA office.
Are the Spring and Fall conferences duplicates of one another?
No. While some pertinent sessions may be repeated, each conference hosts different in-depth topics. Beginning in Fall 2010, the Fall Educational Conference will be separated into distinct topic tracks.
We are a radiology practice looking to hire a practice manager and a certified coder. How can RBMA help?
The RBMA website includes a Career Center where employers may electronically post job openings. As a healthcare-related organization, you can be sure that your ad will reach your optimum potential employee. Members may place employment ads online at a reduced rate.
Are RBMA educational sessions accepted towards Continuing Education Units? Which ones?
Most RBMA educational offerings are accepted for Category A CEUs and a handful are accepted for RCC CEUs. Continuing Education Credits are posted with each specific seminar or session on the Continuing Education form available at each event.
Does RBMA publish any information I can use to compare my business to others?
RBMA annually publishes the results from three surveys: Compensation, Accounts Receivables and Imaging Centers. The information from these surveys serves as benchmark information for radiology businesses. These surveys are available for purchase at a discounted rate for RBMA members or complimentary to survey participants.
