Michael R. Mabry

Michael R. Mabry joined RBMA after working eight years as assistant executive director at the Society of Interventional Radiology (SIR) in Fairfax, Virginia. In his capacity as assistant executive director for the SIR, Mr. Mabry was responsible for coding, reimbursement, and coverage of interventional radiology procedures. He also directed SIR's political and legislative activities, including SIR's political action committee (SIRPAC). Prior to joining SIR in 1998, Mr. Mabry worked for the American College of Radiology (ACR) in the Research and Economic and Health Policy departments beginning in 1987. He has been a member of the RBMA for several years and recently spoke on economic benchmarks and clinical standards at the jointly sponsored RBMA/SIR Interventional Radiology Symposium.
Mr. Mabry earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in 1986 and Masters of Arts degree in 1993 in Economics from the Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University (Virginia Tech).

Daphne Gawronski

Daphne Gawronski began working for RBMA in January of 2003. After receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree in painting/sculpture/graphic design from the University of California, Los Angeles, Daphne pursued a career in advertising, marketing and graphic design and has worked for major companies including Walt Disney Company and J. Walter Thompson Advertising. Daphne has also worked for several associations bringing to the table the balance needed to market RBMA. Daphne is an avid runner and has participated in numerous racing events.

Kimberly Mydland

Kimberly Mydland joined RBMA after being the assistant director of education at the American Society for Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology (ASTRO). While at ASTRO, she was responsible for the oversight and development of its maintenance of certification (MOC) program, as well as the administration of CME and other ancillary education credits for educational programs. Prior to working at ASTRO, Kimberly worked for the Washington Regional Transplant Consortium, an organ procurement organization, where she was responsible for the development of educational programs and policies related to organ and tissue donation in 40 hospitals within the Washington, DC metro area.
Kimberly earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Healthcare Administration and a Masters of Healthcare Administration degree from the University of Scranton in Scranton, PA.

Joyce Aicklen

Joyce Aicklen joins RBMA with over 20 years of experience as an Executive Assistant/Office Manager. She brings a broad range of skills in strategic planning and budget management, human resource management, financial analysis, marketing, meeting/event planning, and customer service. In her spare time, Joyce enjoys golf with her husband and manages her own home baking business.

Angela Carroccia joined RBMA in October of 2007 on a temporary basis and was hired in February of 2008 as the full time education assistant. She brings over fifteen years of combined administrative and convention management experience from the university level and hotel industry to the Education Department. Angela earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English from Ithaca College in Ithaca, NY. In her spare time, she manages her own real estate investment company.

Cynthia Vervena

In her position with RBMA, Cynthia will work with the Data Collection and Reporting Committee on two main surveys and six mini-surveys annually. Prior to joining RBMA, she directed all aspects of community college health professions program surveys for the American Association of Community Colleges. Cynthia holds a master's degree in educational psychology with a concentration in educational research. In her free time, she enjoys reading mysteries and baking.

Carmen Gardea

Carmen Gardea joined RBMA in 2005 in the capacity of meeting services. She has changed roles and now works as the assistant to the membership department and RCCB. Carmen is a certified Holistic Health Practitioner and Nutritional Consultant by the Global College of Natural Medicine. She is currently studying for her certification as a Master Herbalist.

Liz Mugo joined the RBMA in November 2006 with over seven years experience in the advertising/marketing field. Most recently, Liz worked as a national accounts manager in a direct mail firm handling various print projects from inception to mailing. She holds an Associate of Science degree from Indiana University of Pennsylvania.

Jodi Garland joins the RBMA with eight years of customer service experience. She previously worked as a bookkeeper for Ingles, Co. as well as a Pricing and Signing Sales Associate for JC Penney after attending Mayland Community College in North Carolina for two years. In her spare time Jodi enjoys watching football, reading and writing, and rescuing stray animals.
