Faculty

David A. Bader, MD is chief of radiology at St. Vincent Hospital in Worcester, Ma. He is a graduate of Williams College and Northwestern University Medical School and is dual board certified in radiology and nuclear medicine. His practice interests include resident education and performance improvement.

Brian Baker has enjoyed over twenty-seven years in the diagnostic imaging and technology sectors of health care as a strategist and serial entrepreneur. Starting his career as an engineer and later getting his clinical license, his experience includes working with and advising some of the most well known and respected names in healthcare for providers and technology. Today, as president of Regents Health Resources and National Imaging Network, his focus is on business strategy and development. Mr. Baker actively writes and speaks on elements of medical imaging. 

Stephanie Boreale is the director of professional relations for Radiology Ltd., a 43 physician-owned group with eleven imaging centers in Arizona. Her work with Radiology Ltd. includes all marketing strategy, referral development, branding, public relations, advertising and event management. Throughout her 10 years of experience she has focused on service marketing and business development and has recently taken a more active role in the deployment of health care technology and project management. She is certified as a Project Plus Professional. Ms. Boreale is the Chair of the RBMA Marketing Subcommittee; and is very active in the Tucson community.

Angelo J. Devita, MPH is vice president of client service and consulting for Healthcare Administrative Partners in Philadelphia, PA.  He is a graduate of Amherst College and holds a Masters in Public Health from Yale University. Mr. Devita is a member of the Dean’s Advisory Council and the marketing committee at the Drexel University School of Public Health and is a mentor at the Baida Center for Entrepreneurship.

Adrienne Dresevic, Esq. is a partner with The Health Law Partners, P.C. where she practices in all areas of healthcare law and devotes a substantial portion of her practice to providing clients with counsel and analysis regarding Stark and fraud and abuse. Ms.  Dresevic graduated Magna Cum Laude from Wayne State University Law School in 2002. 

Janet Duffy, RT, (R) (M) is the director of the multi-specialty division for Radiological Associates of Sacramento (RAS). She oversees the daily operations of the specialty practices within RAS, including urology, medical oncology, thoracic and vascular surgery, and gynecological oncology. She began as a radiology technologist, trained in CT, MRI, and Mammography and has held several technical and managerial positions within RAS, including Operations Manager and Compliance Administrator. Ms. Duffy has her B.S. degree in Business Administration.

Angela Krause, RT, ARRT graduated in Radiologic Technology in 1986 and began work as a Radiologic Technologist and continued training in other modalities.  In 1990, she worked for a Mobile Imaging company doing CT.  She moved up to Chief Tech, then Supervisor of CT, then Regional Operations Manager managing operations for CT, MRI, Ultrasound and Nuclear Medicine in the western states.  In 1998, she worked for InSight Health Services managing multiple outpatient imaging centers in Arizona.  In 2004 she began working for RAS where today she is the Chief Operating Officer, overseeing operations for 16 Diagnostic and Nuclear Medicine outpatient imaging centers in the greater Sacramento area.    

Rob Lazerow is a senior consultant with The Advisory Board Company. In this capacity, he leads strategic research in support of hospital, health system, and medical group executives through the Health Care Advisory Board research program. Mr. Lazerow dedicates a substantial portion of his time to working directly with members on-site, educating leadership teams and boards about major market developments and the key implications for provider strategy. His principal areas of expertise include hospital-physician integration strategy and emerging accountable care strategy. Mr. Lazerow serves as the Director of the Medicare Payment Innovation Project, an ongoing initiative to study provider payment reform and support organizations engaging in innovative payment programs.

Sherri Lewman began her career in health care as a certified nuclear medicine technologist over 15 years ago. Her expertise is in operations management, project and strategic management, and business development in the ambulatory care setting. Ms. Lewman’s professional background includes development and operations of outreach and retail centers, and developing, opening and operating several free-standing, joint-ventured imaging centers. She is a Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT), and has her Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board Certificate (NMTCB). She is currently the director of medical imaging, cardiology and ambulatory services at Jupiter Medical Center in Jupiter, Florida.

Kathleen Larey Lewton, MHA, Fellow PRSA, has spent more than 40 years in health and science public relations, more than half of it on the provider side, on the management teams of a number of major academic medical centers as well as physician associations and managed care plans. She served as a senior exec at agencies including Porter Novelli and Fleishman Hillard, working in the pharma, biotech, public health association and device sectors.  She is now one of three principals in a specialized consultancy that provides strategic counsel to leading hospital systems, academic medical centers and physician associations. Ms. Lewton is the author of “Public Relations in Health Care: A Guide for Professionals” (1991, 1995, third edition in progress), is past national president of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA), has won numerous awards including the PRSA Health Academy Lifetime Achievement Award, and has a master’s in journalism from Northwestern’s Medill School of Journalism and a master’s in health care administration from the School of Public Health at the University of Minnesota. 

Sarah Mountford, CPC, RCC has 15 years of experience in physician billing and practice management. Ms. Mountford has been employed by Physicians Business Network (PBN) since 1999 where she oversees the revenue management for PBN’s radiology clients. She is a certified coder through the AAPC and the RCCB. Ms. Mountford is a member of RBMA’s Programs Committee, Executive Education Subcommittee, Communications Committee and Educational Materials and Products Committee.

Stephanie P. Ottenwess, Esq., is a partner with The Health Law Partners, P.C. Ms. Ottenwess has been a litigator and appellate practitioner since 1994 focusing primarily on medical-legal issues, successfully defending major healthcare institutions and practice groups as well as individual practitioners. In addition, she is consulted by both healthcare facilities and practice groups for her critical evaluation of any issue affecting compliance and risk management. At The Health Law Partners, P.C., Ms. Ottenwess practices with the litigation group and the compliance and Medicare and RAC Audit practice group. 

Randal Roat, CHBME, is the vice president of radiology services for Medical Management Professionals, Inc. (MMP). He has held leadership roles in the following functional areas: compliance, government relations, business development, finance, mergers & acquisitions, technology and strategic planning. Mr. Roat is a graduate of Western Michigan University with a degree in information systems and business administration, with additional post-graduate education from University of Michigan and the Wharton School of Business.

Tina Rudisill is president of Marketing Works, an advertising agency that lists health care organizations among its clientele. Ms. Rudisill brings over 25 years of marketing, public relations, promotions, sales, and management experience to the agency. While her position requires that she manage the day-to-day business operations, she remains most passionate and enthusiastic about the opportunity to provide creative and strategic direction to a vastly diverse and wildly talented creative team. She has received several sales and creative achievement awards, including Central Pennsylvania Business Journal’s Forty Under 40 Award, The Cameron Award, Addy Award, and nominations for the Top 50 Pennsylvania Women in Business Award and the York Chamber’s Athena Award.

Gail Schwartz is the health care category manager at Marketing Works, a full service advertising and marketing communications firm. Ms. Schwartz has 15 years of health care and agency marketing experience. Her experience includes plan and strategy development for organizations as well as individual specialty service lines, implementation of those plans and tracking their effectiveness. Ms. Schwartz has led major branding initiatives with system wide internal and external rollouts, and managed a team of marketing professionals to meet the needs of the organization. Her work has been recognized by Aster Awards, Healthcare Marketing Report’s Annual Healthcare Advertising Awards and featured in Healthcare Marketing Report, Strategic Health Care Marketing, and Physician Referral & Health Information Update.

Kenneth Serra, MD, is the associate staff radiologist at Virtual Radiologic Professionals, LLC, in Minnetonka, MN.  Prior to that, he worked as an interventional radiologist at Grand Island Radiology Associates in Grand Island, Neb. Dr. Serra earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Integrative Biology from the University of California at Berkeley and a Doctor of Medicine from University of Colorado Health and Sciences Center.

Laurie Slater has held leadership roles within health care for over a decade. Her expertise is in business development strategies with an emphasis on sales and marketing for ambulatory settings. Her professional background includes operations of outreach and retail centers, building and leading sales functions from the ground up, business and marketing planning, physician cultivation and referral development. She has a proven track record in ambulatory sales force functions, territory management, competitive data analysis, brand positioning as well as ROI growth tactics. She has extensive experience in leadership training having consulted with executives and taught classes in leadership development throughout her career.

Rand J. Stack, MD, MBA is section chief for breast imaging at St. Luke’s-Roosevelt Hospital, Central Park Women’s Imaging, West Side Radiology Associates/Midtown Medical Pavilion and Morningside Radiology Associates. Dr. Stack has sub-specialized in breast imaging since 1995, and is past president of the New York Breast Imaging Society. Dr. Stack’s clinical interests include mammography, stereotactic breast biopsy, breast needle localization, and ultrasound guided breast biopsy. Dr. Stack has been involved in resident education throughout his career, and he is currently responsible for the breast imaging curriculum for the radiology residency program at St. Luke’s-Roosevelt Hospital. Dr. Stack received his Bachelor of Science degree from Yale University and his medical degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. Dr. Stack also holds an MBA degree from the Columbia University Business School. He completed residency training in diagnostic radiology at New York Medical College where he served as chief resident. Dr. Stack is board-certified in diagnostic radiology.

Jill Stratton has worked at the senior level of health care outreach and sales program development, training and management for almost 20 years. Her expertise is in working with health care organizations that want to start outreach and consultative sales to the physician, employer and payor markets, and working with existing outreach and sales programs that want to assess their programs and train their staff to maximize organizational goals and strategic initiatives. Ms. Stratton’s professional background includes starting outreach and consultative sales programs for multi hospital systems including relationship and activity management utilizing Goldmine software to maximize return on investment tracking. She has served as faculty and presenter for several healthcare societies and associations, such as AHA Society for Healthcare Strategy & Market Development, Forum for Healthcare Strategists, Ryan-NAOHP, and Healthcare Financial Management Association.  She is also a member of the AHA Society for Healthcare Strategy and Development, National Association of Occupational Health Professionals and the National Wellness Institute. 

Tim Wright, MBA, is president and CEO of Wright Results, a company he began in 2002 which offers services and resources that help small, medium and large businesses reach higher levels of success. He bases his work on more than 30 years of continuing, on-the-job research as an educator, corporate manager and director, executive in a successful startup, and building his own business as an entrepreneur. Mr. Wright received his BA from Washington & Lee University and his MBA from New York University.
