Call for Speakers
Introduction
Radiology Business Management Association (RBMA) is committed to offering education, networking opportunities and management resources to assist members to effectively manage the business of radiology.
RBMA seeks individuals interested in presenting a topic applicable to the business of radiology. RBMA requests your assistance in offering high-quality educational programming. We are currently accepting proposals for the following conferences:
2013 Building Better Radiology Marketing Programs - Spring 2013 - Location TBA - deadline is May 31, 2012
2013 Radiology Summit Program - May 19-23, 2013 - Colorado Springs, CO - deadline is July 13, 2012
RBMA eSeminar - 90 minute live program, presented either as a webinar or webcast, scheduled periodically throughout the year.
Roundtable Topic – Suggest a roundtable topic for any of the RBMA live programs
Presentations
RBMA sessions are noncommercial forums. Speakers must refrain from the use of brand names and specific product endorsement.
RBMA Guidelines require that presentation(s) be free of commercial bias and cannot by nature of the content or format of the educational materials advance the proprietary interests of any commercial interest. Session handouts and audiovisual materials used during presentations shall not include any company or organization logo. Speakers' own company name may be on the title slide.
Speaker agrees that content presented by the Speaker shall not infringe or violate any copyright, trademark patent or intellectual property rights of any person or entity.
Instructions
Please complete a separate Call for Speakers submission for each session you are proposing. A maximum of five (5) submissions will be considered for each speaker. Speakers should be available to present at any time during the conference for which they submit a proposal. Incomplete, late, or incorrectly submitted proposals will not be considered.

Session Description
Submit an 80-90 word description of your presentation with sufficient detail to evaluate the content and assess the level of interest for attendees. Session levels are evaluated with respect to attendees as follows:

Learning Objectives of Session
List the three items that participants will be able to do at the end of the session. These Learning Objectives should take the form of "You will learn to..." followed by at least three bulleted items that attendees will learn.

Audio Sample
RBMA encourages potential speakers to include an audio sample of a previous presentation if one is available. Any previous presentation is fine, it does not need to be a recording of the same presentation topic you are submitting for consideration at an RBMA program. Please submit an audio sample that is at least 5 minutes in duration.

The Process
Submissions are reviewed based on the following criteria:
- Originality, first time presentation or topic
- Clarity, quality, and organization of ideas
- Speaker’s experience and knowledge of the subject matter
- Timeliness and relevance of topic to radiology industry and professionals
- Usefulness, practicality, and vision of concept
Audio and Video Recording
By submitting a Call for Speakers proposal, speakers agree to allow RBMA to audio and/or video record the presentation. Recordings, if made, will be available for sale after the event. Speakers will have online access to the MP3 recording of their session shortly after the event.
Handouts
RBMA meeting attendees place great value and importance on receiving handouts that match, as closely as possible, the presentation on the day of session. You will be required to provide copies of your handouts via e-mail no later than 30 days prior to the meeting. RBMA does not provide remuneration in any way for the expenses incurred by a speaker related to session handouts.
Speaker Profile
Please submit a speaker profile appropriate for publication that is no more than 50 words in length. RBMA reserves the right to edit profiles in order to comply with space restrictions in hard copy promotional materials. Originality and Copyrights
I certify that my submitted presentation is an original work and has no prior ownership or copyright restrictions. I give RBMA authority to reproduce and publish my handout in their conference program, website, and proceedings of the meeting. If any other individual or organization asks for or receives copyright privileges for this work, I will promptly notify RBMA.
By submitting a Call for Speakers proposal, Speaker acknowledges that he/she has both read and understands the information above and agrees to comply with RBMA’s policies and procedures. Failure to do so shall be considered a breach of the Speaker Agreement and can result in revocation of future speaking privileges.
Acceptance
Submissions will be accepted on a rolling basis. You will be contacted by RBMA upon selection of your topic for a program.
